Installation Guide for SmartPlayer on Novastar TB 30 Device

Description of the Situation

The SmartPlayer platform supports interaction with various devices running different operating systems. Some devices do not require additional manipulation to install SmartPlayer, but there are certain devices that do not launch SmartPlayer when following the standard installation procedure. One such non-standard device is the Novastar TB 30.

Required Software for Setup

To install the SmartPlayer software on the Novastar TB 30 player, two programs are needed:

• Viplex Express

Steps to Follow

• Install the Viplex Express application and begin configuring the device.
• Activate SmartPlayer on the Novastar TB 30 device using Viplex Express.
• Configure network parameters and time settings using Viplex Express.
• Launch and connect via ADB.

Step 1: Installing the Viplex Express Application and Configuring the Device

First, the user needs to install the Viplex Express program.
The next step is to launch the Viplex Express application on the device using the shortcut.

Once the application is opened, the user will see the application's main menu.

To begin using the application, the user needs to set "Async mode".

Next, connect the device (Novostar TB 30) to the local network. The device should appear in the list of detected equipment.
After clicking the "Refresh" button, the user needs to select the player that will be configured.

To connect the device, use the details provided on the device. Once successfully connected, the device (Novostar TB 30) will appear in the list of available devices.
To connect to the device, the user needs to click the "Connect" button. The application may prompt for a password, which by default is "123456".

After the device is successfully connected in the application, a green indicator will light up next to the device name. This indicator signifies that the connection was successful.

To install the application on the device, the user needs to display an additional menu item. This is done by typing "NovaSoft" on the device using the keyboard. After entering this phrase, an additional menu item will appear.

The user needs to navigate to the new menu section, which will open a new menu page.

The next step is to select the desired player and click the "Connect" button. If necessary, enter the password "123456".

Then the user needs to click on the player. A new page with a menu should appear after clicking.

In this menu, the user needs to:

• Disable "PlayService" to turn off the internal player.
• Select and specify the path to the SmartPlayer installation file.
• Check the box for "Auto launch on startup".
• Check the box for "Automatically run after installation".
• Start the installation process.

Upon successful installation, the user may see two types of notifications:

1. Set successfully
2. OnInstallSucess

Шаг 2: Активация приложения SmartPlayer с помощью приложения Viplex Express

Для активации приложения SmartPlayer на устройстве пользователю необходимо в приложении перейти в раздел "Terminal Contorl" и выбрать блок "Playback Managment".

Шаг 3: Настройка сетевых параметров и параметров времени на устройстве с помощью Viplex Express

Настройка сети

Для настройки сети пользователю необходимо перейти в раздел приложения «Terminal Control» и выбрать блок «Network configuration». Доступны следующие виды настройки сети:

• Для настройки проводной сети используется раздел "Wired Network"
• Для настройки беспроводной сети используется раздел «Wi-Fi Network». Для поиска сети выберите "Wi- Fi STA Mode" и введите данные для подключения к Wi-Fi сети.
• Для настройки мобильной сети используется раздел «Mobile Network»

Настройка времени

Правильно настроенное время на устройстве позволит корректно работать расписанию на устройстве.

Пользователю необходимо перейти в раздел приложения «Terminal Control» и выбрать блок «Time synchronization management». Далее необходимо выбрать нужное устройство и установить корректно следующие параметры:

• Часовой пояс
• Дата
• Время

Для подтверждения изменения указанных выше параметров пользователю необходимо нажать на кнопку "Apply".

Шаг 4: Запуск приложения SmartPlayer и подключение по ADB

Необходимо в обязательном порядке поставить "Novalauncher" как приложение по умолчанию иначе viplex работать не будет.

В открытом приложении Viplex набрать "Novasoft" и "Selftest" (Появятся разделы User Software и Debug mode)

Пользователю в приложении необходимо выбрать раздел "User Software" и подключиться к нужному устройству. Следующим шагом ему необходимо включить настройку "ADB". Данное действие делается с помощью переключателя. Если ползунок настройки "ADB" зеленый, значит она активна.

Далее пользователю необходимо перейти в раздел "Terminals" и кликнуть правой клавишей мыши по нужному устройству. В появившемся меню необходимо выбрать строку "debug tool".

В открывшемся окне пользователю необходимо прописать следующие строки:
setprop service.adb.tcp.port 5555
stop adbd
start adbd
cmd package set-home-activity com.nova.launcher/com.nova.launcher.MainActivity
При успешной активации команды появится строка с надписью "Success".

Ограничения контента используемого на Novastar TB 30

К списку ограничений контента, который планируется использовать на приставках Novastar TB 30 относятся:

1. Максимальная ширина и высота в пикселях видеоролика 960 x 750, площадь получается ≈ 650 000 пикселей. Данное значение является предельным для приставки и при такой нагрузке приставка будет подтормаживать, так как есть другие процессы на устройстве, которые забирают ресурсы устройства.
2. Максимальный размер внутреннего хранилища под контент: 4 гб, остальное занимает операционная система Android OS
3. Параметры видеоролика:

• Максимальное разрешение: 960х750, что составляет ≈ 650 000 пикселей площадь. Рекомендовано использовать меньшее разрешение, чтобы оставлять ресурсы для работы операционной системы Android OS.
• Рекомендованное разрешение: 208 (ширина) на 312 (высота). Данные параметры разрешения использовались для тестирования.
