Working with Firmware

On the "Firmware List" page, the user will be able to perform the following actions with the uploaded firmware:

  • Find the required one using the search system
  • Download firmware via a special button
  • View information about the section using a special icon

Uploading Firmware

When clicking on the "Upload Firmware" button, the user will see a special modal window where they need to specify the following parameters:

  • Firmware version - manually enter the version of the firmware being installed
  • Platform - select one platform available from the preloaded list
  • Firmware file - select the firmware file from the local storage on the device
  • Supported models - manually specify the list of supported models using the "Enter" key

Limitations and Errors

This section describes error parameters that can affect the stable operation of firmware on devices with Tizen OS ver.6.5 and higher. You can familiarize yourself with the API documentation and parameters related to the firmware via this link.
Limitations and errors:

  1. SecurityError - the application does not have the required privileges to call this function
  2. InvalidValuesError - one or more input parameters contain invalid values
  3. NotSupportedError - this function is not supported by the device
  4. TypeMismatchError - the type of input parameter does not match the expected type
