Notification about the use of 'Cookies'
Situation Description
When logging into the SmartPlayer personal account, a user may encounter a pop-up notification about the use of "Cookies". This notification provides the user with the opportunity to understand that when using the SmartPlayer platform, their device/mobile device will be tagged with a "Cookie" file.
Terminology
"Cookie" (cookies) files are small text files that websites send and store on your computer or mobile device when a user visits them. They help the site remember information about the user's visit. For example, the information remembered can include:
- Which language you prefer
- Which pages you have already visited.
For the user, this makes their next visit to the site more convenient and the site more useful to the user.
Implementation
Within the SmartPlayer platform, a modal window notifying about the use of Cookies appears only in one case - if the user has not previously visited the SmartPlayer platform from this device.
When the modal appears, the user can click the "Learn More" button.
After clicking, a new window opens with a description of which user data is used for remembering. After reading the information about the used data, the user can click the "Understand" button to dismiss the window. After clicking the "Understand" button, the user will no longer see this window.

Final Outcome
The user knows why a modal window with a notification about the use of cookie files appears upon logging in and understands why it appears only once.
