Description

The next step in the development of the SmartPlayer platform was the ability to play videos from VK Video. Below is a guide on how to work with this functionality.

Preliminary Setup

To start, the user needs to log in to the VK Video platform and select the desired video.

Next, the user needs to find the "Share" button and click it. A modal window will open with sharing options:

  • Telegram;
  • WhatsApp;
  • VK;
  • Embed (this is the option you need).

After clicking the "Embed" option, another modal window will appear. In this window, the user needs to pay attention to two parameters:

  • video size (set using the resolution dropdown);
  • autoplay checkbox (must be checked).

Next, the user must copy the link from the field titled "Use the backup code." This is the second field from the top.

This completes the link preparation. The remaining steps are done in the SmartPlayer personal account.

Step-by-Step Guide

First, the user must register or log in to the SmartPlayer personal account.
Next, go to the “Content” section and find the “Link” category.

Then click on the “Add Link” button and paste the VK Video link. Before adding, the link must be cleaned of extra parts. Remove the following parts of the URL:

  1. Make sure the beginning of the link is "https", not "iframe".
  2. Delete everything after the "autoplay=1" parameter.

The result should look like the screenshot below:

Click the “Save” button and use the saved content in a broadcast.

Integration into Broadcast
