Uploading files as templates for IPTV

Situation Overview

The SmartPlayer development team has implemented templates in the “IP Television” section for uploading and playing the required content in broadcasts. This template allows users to prepare in advance and upload the data required for playback into IP Television.

Procedure

To use this functionality, the user needs to register or log in to the SmartPlayer personal account.
The next step is for the user to go to the “IP Television” section of the personal account.

Next, the user needs to select the “Upload” tab and click it.

After clicking, a page for working with files will open, where templates for broadcasts in IP Television can be managed.

Working with Templates in IP Television

The template upload page contains the following elements:

• a description of how template export and upload work;
• the “Download Template” button;
• the “Upload” button and a field for uploading a template using drag-and-drop (by dragging it from the user’s folder);
• a delimiter (By default, “,” is used as the delimiter.);
• file encoding selection (two types are available: UTF-8 and Windows-1251).

The template exported from the personal account is saved in CSV format. This file can be opened with any suitable editor, for example, Microsoft Excel.
