Situation Description
One of the new solutions proposed by the SmartPlayer development team is the ability to moderate and approve content for use in a broadcast. Functionally, this allows for control over the content planned for playback in a broadcast and its approval, which improves interaction between users (participants) within a single company on the SmartPlayer platform.
Preparation
To properly use the functionality, a user with the “Broadcast Administrator” role must create another user in the personal account with the “Broadcast User” role. But first, the “Broadcast Administrator” must go to the “Personal Account Settings” section and configure access for managing broadcasts.

To do this, in the “Settings” section, find the “Content” category and activate the “Broadcast Administrator” toggle.
This will enable the option by default for users with the “Broadcast User” role.
Working with Access Roles
To create a user with the “Broadcast User” role, the current “Broadcast Administrator” must either create a new user or edit an existing one. In both cases, go to the “Users” section of the personal account.
Creating a User
After opening the section, the “Broadcast Administrator” should click the icon in the top-left corner of the screen.
A modal window will appear where all fields must be filled out and the desired role — “Broadcast User” — selected.
After completing the form, click “Save”. The new user will appear in the user list.
Editing a User
From the same section, the “Broadcast Administrator” selects a user and clicks “Edit” in the right-hand sidebar.
A window identical to the creation form opens. Change the role to “Broadcast User” and save the changes.
Content Moderator
The user with the “Broadcast Administrator” role becomes the content moderator within this feature. To start moderating, go to the “Content” section and locate the content pending moderation.
Click on the content and check the right-hand sidebar. It will indicate that the content requires review. To perform moderation, select the “Moderation” category.

Clicking it opens a modal window where the “Broadcast Administrator” can perform the following actions: 1. Use in broadcast — select a status: either allow usage or reject usage. 2. Moderator comment — provide a text explanation, for example, why the content was rejected.

Broadcast User
The user with the “Broadcast User” role becomes the user of the approved content. To view moderated content, go to the “Content” section and find the item.
Click on the content and check the sidebar on the right. If the review is not complete, the content will show as pending review. To check the status, go to the “Moderation Status” category.

Clicking it opens a modal window displaying the moderation status.

Content Statuses
Both users described above use the same statuses and icons for unified understanding. There are three statuses and two icons indicating the content's review state. All icons appear on content thumbnails in the “Content” section of the personal account.
Available statuses and icons: 1. Timer icon — the content is “Under Review”, i.e., the “Broadcast Administrator” has not yet issued a decision. 2. Red lock icon — the content was rejected by the “Broadcast Administrator”. 3. No icon — the content was approved by the “Broadcast Administrator”.
Final Result
Once the content is approved by the “Broadcast Administrator” (moderator), the “Broadcast User” will be able to add it to a broadcast. If a “Broadcast User” tries to add unapproved content, the system will prevent this and display a notification at the bottom of the screen.
