Description of the Situation

SmartPlayer platform users have access to a convenient way to register a large number of devices. This solution reduces the time required to add devices to the personal account. The “Drafts” functionality assists the user in implementing this feature.

Action Algorithm

The user must first request a special distribution package with the company ID from the SmartPlayer technical support team.

To use the “Drafts” functionality, the user must first log in to the personal account. Then navigate to the “Devices” section and find the “Drafts” category.

After opening this category, the user will see a list of devices available for registration.

To register a device in the system (move it to the “Devices” section), the user must select one or more devices and click the “Register” button.

Actions with Devices in the “Drafts” Category

In the “Drafts” category, after selecting a specific device, the user can perform two actions (both are located in the right toolbar that appears after selection):

1. View device information
2. Register the device

Viewing Device Information

When clicking the information button, a separate page will open displaying the device parameters.

All this data can be copied by clicking the special icon in the top-left corner of the screen.

Device Registration

To register a device in the system (move it to the “Devices” section), the user must select one or more devices and click the “Register” button.

After clicking the button, a window will appear where the user must:

• Select the license type
• Specify the folder for moving the device

After registration, the device can be found in the “Devices” section in the selected folder.

Deleting a Device from Drafts

Devices added to drafts can be deleted. To do this, select the required device and open the device control panel (located on the right side of the screen). Then click the trash icon to delete the device from drafts.

Bulk Device Registration

The user can register all available devices at once. To do this, use the selection functionality in the navigation menu to select all devices.

Next, all selected devices will appear in the right toolbar. By clicking the “Register” button in the toolbar, the user can add all devices simultaneously.

Functionality Benefits

In addition to the main function (quick device addition), this feature provides additional capabilities:

1. If a device was accidentally deleted or deregistered, it will return to drafts
2. Drafts display all data received from the device, including:

• mac address
• ip address
• serial number

As well as other fields that help identify the device.

Working with Licensing

During device registration, the user must select a license. There are two scenarios:

• If one device is selected — the user can choose both the license and the folder where the device will be stored

• If multiple devices are selected — only license selection is available. After selecting the license, devices are registered and moved to the main folder in the personal account
