What are root rights

Root rights in UNIX and Linux-based operating systems (including Android) are superuser privileges that allow full control over the system.

Why root rights are needed

The following capabilities become available upon obtaining root rights:

  1. Full access to system files and settings - this allows changing parameters that are usually inaccessible to regular users.
  2. Installation and removal of system software - a user will be able to install or delete any programs, including those that interact with the system itself.
  3. Modifying protected system settings - a user will be able, for example, to change network settings, manage processes of other users, and much more.

Root rights within the SmartPlayer platform

Root rights obtained by the user allow them to perform the following actions within the SmartPlayer platform using the device:

  1. The ability to take screenshots
  2. Setting timers for various reboots on the device
  3. Performing a reboot of the device itself or the SmartPlayer application
  4. The ability to set the time and date from the CMS

Получение рут прав на приставке X4Q Ugoos

Первоначально, пользователю необходимо зайти в раздел "Настройки" в устройстве. Далее необходимо перейти в раздел "Device preferences".

Следующим шагом пользователю необходимо найти раздел под названием "Superuser"

После перехода в раздел "Superuser" необходимо передвинуть чекбокс в разделе "Magisk" в активное положение.

Выполнив все эти действия, устройство потребует его перезапустить. Это нужно сделав нажав на "Yes"

Если устройство не попросило перезагрузки от пользователя настоятельно рекомендуется это сделать самому. Данное действие необходимо для того, чтобы система полностью применила настройки выставленные раннее.

Далее пользователю необходимо установить приложение SmartPlayer. После установки приложение попросить улучшить версию Magisk. В данном случае ему необходимо нажать кнопки "ОК" и "Install".

После всех манипуляций появится окно с предложением перезагрузить устройство:

  • Reboot later - перезагрузить позже.
  • Reboot Now - перезагрузить сейчас.
Варианты перезагрузки

После перезагрузки необходимо открыть приложение SmartPlayer и согласиться со всеми всплывающими окнами. Необходимо нажимать "Ok/Yes".
Финальным шагом надо будет еще раз перезапустить устройство, чтобы приложение SmartPlayer нормально заработало с root-правами.
