Content Playback in Sync Mode
Sync mode is an operational mode in SmartPlayer personal account where played content is synchronized between devices within a single broadcast.
Requirements for Proper Sync Mode Operation
For proper sync mode operation, users must meet these requirements: 1. Panels must be connected via RJ45 and be on the same network 2. Create a device group and add devices requiring content synchronization 3. Configure the group: Settings → WebOS platform → Sync Content → Yes → Save Changes
Content Specifications
- Playlist duration must be identical for 2 different broadcasts in video wall mode
- Videos must have identical FPS (frames per second)
- Broadcasts must be single-zone (multi-zone content sync not supported)
- Synchronization works only with video files (convert images to video using built-in editor)
- Videos must have no milliseconds (e.g., 10s, 11s allowed; 10.34s not allowed - only whole numbers)
- Video durations must match across broadcasts
Example: Two 1-minute broadcasts. First broadcast: two 30-second videos. Second broadcast: two 30-second videos. If second broadcast had 10s + 50s videos, synchronization would fail.
