Situation Description
Users now have the ability to remotely clean the device’s local storage through the SmartPlayer personal account interface. This functionality is available for every supported OS that the SmartPlayer company works with.
Action Algorithm
To use this functionality, the user must register/log in to their SmartPlayer personal account.
Then, go to the “Devices” section in the personal account and select the desired device by clicking on it.

After that, a tool panel will open on the right side of the screen, where the user needs to select the “Information” line.

By clicking on the “Information” line, the user will be taken to a new page with descriptions, buttons, and device parameters. In this case, the user should find the button panel (located below the screenshot preview window) and look for the broom icon.

Clicking the icon will open a modal window with cleanup options. Currently, three types of cleanup are available:
- Delete all files on the device.
- Clear local storage.
- Clear statistics.

To start the cleanup process, click the “Clear” button in the modal window.

Delete all files on the device
Deleting all files on the device — removes all physically downloaded files. All files downloaded to the device are deleted.
In the application, everything is stored in a separate folder, and all contents along with the folder itself are deleted.
Clear local storage
Clearing local storage — this completely clears the database. It does **not** delete downloaded files or content, but fully clears the database along with statistics.
Clear statistics
Clearing statistics — this deletes entries from the database that are responsible for statistics.
