Creating General Settings for Device Groups
Situation Description
Interaction with devices within the SmartPlayer platform has entered the next stage of development. Now users can create and apply settings to multiple device groups. Below, you’ll find a description of how to create general settings for device groups.
Preliminary Settings
For a user to create settings for device groups, they must be logged into the SmartPlayer dashboard.
The user can either use previously created device groups or create several new device groups.
New device groups can be created by going to the "Devices" section in the dashboard and selecting "Add Group."
Functionality Usage Algorithm
After creating a device group, users can view the groups in the dashboard and select them via checkboxes for further interaction.
After selecting the desired device groups, users must, as a final step, go to the right-side toolbar and select "General Settings" to configure parameters for the selected device group.
A list of configurable parameters is provided below.
List of Configurable Parameters
Once the "General Settings" section is open, users will see a page displaying the following data:
- List of operating systems used on the devices in the group - shown on the left, allowing users to select the operating systems of devices within the group to configure each one separately
- List of device settings parameters - this settings list is identical to the settings list for each individual device in the SmartPlayer dashboard
