Description

This page describes how to configure webOS Hotel TVs.

Initial setup

When you turn on the device for the first time, you need to configure basic parameters such as language, operation mode, and playback method using the setup wizard. The settings for connecting to the server can be viewed in the paragraph: "Installing and updating the application"

Go to the installation menu

  1. Hold the "settings" button until a notification appears in the upper right corner of the screen
  2. Dial 1105 consecutively and press the "OK" button.

Installing and updating the app

Automatic installation of the application:

  1. Go to the installation menu
  2. Go to the "Pro: Centric" section
  3. Install:
    1. Mode -> HTML
    2. Media Type -> IP
    3. Receive Data -> Enable
    4. IP Address -> Server IP address (for SmartPlayer installation: 188.225.46.141)
    5. Port Number -> Port number (for installing SmartPlayer: 80)
  4. Reload screen. After restarting, the app will automatically install on your screen.

Automatic app update:

After the application is updated on the server, you need to reload the screen and the application will automatically update on your screen.

Before start

Before starting the SmartPlayer app, make sure that you are using the latest / recommended version of the firmware.

The current firmware version can be viewed in the installation menu (S / W Version).

Reset panel to factory settings

  1. Go to the installation menu
  2. Go to the menu item "LG Hotel Mode Setup"
  3. Activate the settings by pressing the off / on button
  4. Select factory reset

Firmware Upgrade

Updating the firmware from the server

  1. Make sure the new firmware version has been uploaded to the server.
  2. Turn off the screen and wait at least 5 minutes. Do not turn on the screen before, it may cause system malfunction.

Upgrading the firmware from a USB flash drive

  1. Download the official firmware from the LG website or via the link provided by SmartPlayer representatives
  2. Create a folder named LG_DTV or lg_dtv on a USB flash drive and transfer the firmware to this folder
  3. Insert the USB flash drive into the panel, go to the All Settings> General menu, press '7' 7 times, select Software Update in the menu and press OK, select Update Micom Software in the new menu, and press OK
  4. The update takes up to 10 minutes, you cannot turn off the TV while doing this or remove the USB flash drive
