Terms and Definitions

  • Cloud Server** - The SmartPlayer Server software installed on a server located in a data center within the Russian Federation.
  • Internal Network** - A closed (restricted) circuit without Internet access.
  • Devices** - Media players capable of playing content.
  • Content (advertising content)** - Media files uploaded to the server for playback on devices.
  • Cloud Content Storage** - A data center within the Russian Federation used for uploading (downloading) content.

Interaction between Server and Client Applications

The server can operate over either the HTTP or HTTPS protocols.
When implementing HTTPS on the server, the customer provides a certificate and is responsible for renewing it after its expiration. Communication between the server and client applications occurs via port 80 (HTTP server) or port 443 (HTTPS server).
The WebSocket (WS) or WebSocketSecure (WSS) protocol is used depending on the server configuration. Required local network ports are port 80 or 443, depending on server configuration.
If a proxy is present on the network, packets transmitted between the server and the admin panel, and client applications should not be modified.

Content Storage

Content storage can be organized in two main ways:

  • Content is stored in the SmartPlayer cloud storage. The storage size is limited and determined by the licensing agreement. Access to the following resources must be opened from the internal network:
  • IP: Dynamic, access should be opened by domain name
  • Domains: *.s3.timeweb.cloud

  • Content is physically stored on the cloud server; in this case, no additional addresses need to be opened, and all content will be retrieved from the cloud server on port 80 (443) depending on server configuration. The storage size is limited and determined by the licensing agreement.
