NOVASTAR is a Chinese manufacturer of LED screen control systems. As of 2022, it is one of the most widely represented manufacturers in the market and a leader in the LED display industry. NovoStar uses its proprietary "NovaStar" control system as a solution for managing devices.
Their product line is extensive, including a full range of equipment from receiving cards, synchronous LED display control systems, video controllers/processors, pixel-by-pixel calibration systems for LED displays, to cloud management services.

Functional Updates/Support for Integration with SmartPlayer

The following features are available for NovoStar devices integrated with the SmartPlayer platform:

• Brightness adjustment based on voltage (higher voltage results in higher brightness) - supported starting from client application version 1.75.6.
• Device reboot - supported starting from client application version 1.75.6.
• Screen on/off (the device screen doesn’t turn off but displays a black screen image) - supported starting from client application version 1.75.6.
• Installation of third-party applications - supported starting from client application version 1.75.6.
• SmartPlayer update - supported starting from client application version 1.75.6.
• Screenshot capture - supported starting from client application version 1.75.6.
• Setting time, date, and timezone - supported starting from client application version 1.75.6.

Login and Password Support for NovaStar Devices in the Dashboard

NovaStar API allows setting login credentials in the dashboard. Users can view login and password details as follows:

• Log in to the dashboard.
• Navigate to the "Devices" section.
• Find the NovoStar device and click on it.
• In the toolbar on the right, go to the "Settings" section.
• Locate the category named "For devices supported by NovaStar API."
• View or modify login and password credentials.

If the "login" and "password" fields are empty, the device uses factory default values:

• Login - admin
• Password - 123456
