Black Screen Notification via Telegram
Situation Description
The SmartPlayer team has developed and integrated a solution that allows users to quickly detect the appearance of a black screen on devices and notify the user of the issue. The implemented solution involves configuring and connecting a special Telegram bot to deliver this information.
Action Algorithm
To set up black screen notifications in Telegram, the user must first log in or register in the SmartPlayer personal account.
Next, go to the “Settings” section of the personal account and find the “For messenger notifications” tab.

Expand the section and choose which type of chat the bot should be integrated with (this determines the QR code displayed). Two options are available:
- Personal.
- Group.


The next step is to scan the QR code displayed on the screen. After scanning, the Telegram app will open and redirect you to a chat with the SmartPlayer bot.

Then the bot will begin its setup process and display a message stating that it has connected to the server and is ready to work.

The final step is to return to the “Settings” section and open the “For messenger notifications” tab again. You will see that the display in the tab has changed. Inside the tab, activate the “Notify about black screen” toggle.
