Description of the Situation
One of the categories in the “Devices” section is “Emergency Alerts”. This category works with specialized functionality and was created as a solution for specific projects that require alerts about emergency situations. Therefore, this category may not be present in every personal account.
In this section, compatibility was configured between the SmartPlayer personal account and special devices that provide emergency alerts on-site. The purpose of such devices is to notify people on-site about incidents that have occurred.
Algorithm of Actions
To use this category, the user must log in or register on the SmartPlayer platform.
The next step is to go to the “Devices” section and select the “Emergency Alerts” category.

After opening the category, the user will see a list of ready-made emergency alert events. In this list, the user can view information about:
- checkbox “Select” — allows selecting an event from the list. Each selected event can be deleted using the icon above;
- section name — indicates the section where the event will be played on the device;
- floors — indicates the floor number. There may be multiple floors;
- office code — a numeric code corresponding to a specific office;
- section code — indicates the section code.


Event statuses
In the upper right corner of the screen, the user can see statuses with a legend:
- alert in progress (yellow);
- error occurred (red).

When hovering over a color, the status description will be displayed.
Creating events
To create an event, click the “+” icon in the upper left corner.

After clicking the button, a modal window with a list of required parameters will open.

In this window, the user must fill in the following fields:
- section name — enter the section name;
- office code — enter the office code (depending on the user’s office location);
- floors — “Add floor” button opens two input fields;
- floor number — enter the numeric value of the floor;
- “Select device” button — allows selecting a device linked to the personal account;
After filling in all fields, click the “Save” button at the bottom of the modal window. The user can also cancel changes using the corresponding button.
