Monitor Parameter Management
Description of the Situation
The monitor parameter management functionality allows users to control and flexibly configure the operation of multiple displays through the SmartPlayer platform personal account.
Procedure
To access monitor parameter settings, the user must register or log in to the SmartPlayer personal account.
The next step is to navigate to the Devices section and find the required device running Windows.

Next, the user must select the device by clicking on it and open the settings panel on the right.

In the right-side panel, the user must select the Settings item and open the corresponding section.

After opening the list of settings categories, find the Monitor Settings tab and click on it.

After clicking, a list of monitor parameter settings will expand.
Configuring Multiple Monitors
A page will open displaying a preview of the connected monitors and the available configuration parameters.

Within this tab, the user can configure the following parameters:
- display mode — selection of the monitor operating mode: Extend or Duplicate;
- monitor layout diagram — a diagram showing monitors connected to the device. The primary monitor is marked with a black horizontal bar on the diagram;
- primary monitor — allows the user to select the primary monitor from the list of connected displays;
- monitor name — a non-editable table displaying information about monitors connected to the device. By clicking the ... icon on the right, the user can open a modal window containing monitor information. This window displays the following parameters: scaling (configurable), screen resolution, and orientation (configurable). If changes are made, the user must click the Apply button for the changes to take effect;

- application position in the monitor chain — a parameter that allows configuring how content is displayed across connected monitors. Three display modes are available:
- stretch across all monitors — stretches content across all connected displays;
- stretch on a specific monitor — displays a monitor layout diagram in the interface and allows the user to select a monitor by clicking on it. The content will be stretched on the selected monitor;

- by pixels — displays additional input fields for configuring content placement on the monitor. The following parameters can be entered manually: top offset, left offset, width, and height.

- Refresh Data button — allows the system to retrieve data from the join event regarding the number and parameters of connected monitors. If the settings received from the server application match the current settings, they are applied to the connected monitors in the personal account. If the parameters received from the server application differ from those obtained through the event, the current monitor settings are sent and synchronized with the server application.
After configuring all parameters, the user must click the Save Changes button at the bottom of the screen to apply the configured settings.
Functional Features and Limitations
This section describes important details and limitations related to the functionality:
- Changing the system scaling settings through the operating system configuration is not recommended. This may affect the stability of the SmartPlayer client application and lead to operational issues.
- When using the By Pixels configuration mode, all coordinate calculations are performed relative to the upper-left corner of the primary display.
