Handling repeating events in a playing recording

Description of the Situation

The SmartPlayer development team has improved the event handling logic. Users can now manually configure event behavior when a broadcast is already playing. Below is a detailed explanation of how to use this functionality.

Algorithm of Actions

To correctly configure this functionality, the user must register or log in to the SmartPlayer personal account.
Next, go to the “Broadcasts” section and select the “Create” category.

Then create two pages with zones and add the required content:

• first page — image content;
• second page — video content.

Now configure the event model for the first page. To do this, select the first page by clicking on the top rectangle and open the page settings using the settings icon.

First, select the required page in the “Next page” parameter. In this case, it will be “Page 2”, then proceed to configure the event.

Event configuration

Event configuration can be started by clicking the “+” icon in the “Events” row.

Clicking the icon opens a modal window where the following settings must be selected:

• event — client application;
• key — active player;
• value — playback error.

After setting the values, click the “Save” button at the bottom center of the screen.

Reaction to repeated event

After saving the current event, the modal window will close and the user will return to the settings page. A new parameter “Reaction to repeated event” will appear in the UI. By default, the value is set to “Restart”, but the option “Ignore” is also available.

To complete the configuration, click the “Save” button in the bottom-right corner of the screen.
