Firmware List for Devices
Description of the Situation
One of the categories in the “Devices” section is “Firmware List”. In this section, the user can ознакомиться with the list of available firmware and download the required firmware for devices used in the personal account.
Algorithm of Actions
The first step is for the user to register or log in to the SmartPlayer personal account.
Next, go to the “Devices” section and select the “Firmware List” category.
After that, the main page will open, which can be условно divided into three zones:
- search — allows searching firmware by device model;
- description — brief information about firmware parameters;
- upload — a button that allows uploading new firmware to the personal account.
Search
In the search area, the user can enter the name of any added firmware and find the required one. This is useful when many firmware versions are added to the personal account.
Description of parameters
Added firmware is displayed as a list including the following parameters:
- platform — the name of the platform for which the firmware is used;
- version — the version number of the uploaded firmware;
- device list — the name of the device for which this firmware is intended;
- added by — the name (email) of the user who uploaded the firmware;
- firmware link — the ability to download the firmware by clicking the “Link” field;
- date — the date and time when the firmware was added to the personal account.
Firmware upload
After clicking the “Upload firmware” button, a window with required parameters will open. The list of required parameters includes:
- platform — select the appropriate platform from the dropdown list;
- firmware version — manually enter the firmware version;
- firmware file — select the required firmware file from local storage;
- replace with latest version — a toggle with “Yes / No” states. When enabled, it triggers an update to the latest firmware version. Works if the uploaded version is not the latest;
- supported models list — enter the list of supported models.
