Description of the Situation

The device group settings now include the ability to modify individual parameters of a device group without fully updating all group settings. This means that when changing a specific setting within the group, the remaining settings will not be affected.

Principle of Operation

To use this functionality, the user must register/log in to the SmartPlayer personal account.
Next, navigate to the “Devices” section and select a device group by clicking on it.

After that, a control panel will open on the right side of the screen, where you need to find the “Group Settings” line and click on it.

Example of the “Group Settings” tab

After clicking, a page with tabs containing parameters will open. Initially, before any changes are made, only one checkbox is displayed at the bottom of the screen — “Apply group settings to all nested devices”. It is enabled by default.

Once the user changes any parameter, a second checkbox will appear at the bottom of the screen — “Update only changed settings”. This checkbox is also enabled by default.

Example of the checkbox “Update only changed settings”

This checkbox is responsible for updating only the parameters that were modified by the user.

After completing all settings, the user must click the “Save changes” button at the bottom of the screen.
